New arrival! X-Plus 25cm RIC Burning Godzilla!

Hey yo! Ok, first impressions are kinda meh! That does not mean this figure is not fresh, it is fresh in some regards. The two areas that are kind of meh is the sculpting of the face and the bleed through when the light up feature is turned on.  I will save the meat of my thoughts for my review but there is a lot of lights built into this figure and a lot of areas that need to be lit up.  I imagine it was hard for X-Plus to come up with a game plan to get this figure to look as accurate as possible so kudos to X-Plus for pulling off a hard light up feature. It is not just dorsal plates. Its the chest, shoulders, stomach and thighs that all light up too. With a figure like this, bleed through is expected. I will talk about this more in my review.

The face is not sculpted the best either. The snout is a bit off and looks odd from a head on viewing. From profile views, it is not that bad. Nonetheless, the face of this Godzilla is off. Some have said this is comparable to the 8″ Bandai Burning Godzilla or even holding a likeliness to the Bandia Creation Burning Godzilla!! AGH!

Overall, the figure has a nice pose, the dorsal plates look really good and when the light up feature is not on, the figure does look good.

That is it for now. I will reserve the rest of my thoughts for my review! For now, enjoy the pictures! FRESH!

  1. Looks like X-Plus dropped the ball on this one. The detail on the head does not warrant the price and looks more like a standard toy then a high end collectible. As for the sculpt, it appears like a larger detailed version of the Bandai ’95 8″ release.
